Mending Basics

Americans throw away a garbage truck's worth of clothes every second, often because we don't know how to repair them as our parents and grandparents did. Learn how to sew on a button, to fix the hem of your pants or skirt, and to stitch up a rip in a seam. You will receive practical experience and a mending kit of your very own. If you bring one of your own garments needing repair, our mentor Alice will give you advice on how best to do that.
